Cut holes, Install Extractors, Go Fast.

Elevate both the performance and aesthetics of your truck with our Composite Heat Extractor Hood Vents from Munssey Speed. These versatile heat extractors are perfect for a wide range of applications.
Each heat extractor features bonded, threaded studs attached to the bottom, passing through the hood and securing under the hood with washers and nuts, ensuring a sturdy and reliable installation.

Designed with fabricators and custom builders in mind, these vents serve as the centerpiece for your custom hood project, delivering superior airflow and an aggressive, sleek appearance. Upgrade your truck with these high-quality, durable heat extractors to experience enhanced cooling and performance on both the road and track. Combining functionality with striking design, these heat extractors are perfect for any custom build.

Please note, this product boasts universal compatibility and may require fabrication to integrate into your own hood. Rest assured, all Munssey Speed parts are proudly made in the USA.

Reduce under-hood high pressure - The faster you drive, the more air entering the radiator opening gets pushed into the engine bay causing a buildup of high-pressure. With heat extractors, some of that high-pressure now has a path to evacuate. The design of a heat extractor causes a low pressure (vacuum) over the top of the panel that sucks air out of the engine bay. The faster you go, the better it works.

Reduce under-hood temps - Under-hood hot air evacuates out of the extractor openings reducing temperatures in the engine bay. THIS SHOULD NOT BE YOUR SOLUTION FOR A FAULTY COOLING SYSTEM. If your engine is not properly cooling, we recommend you spend your money on fixing the cooling system instead.

Weight Savings - How much? Well, that all depends on your individual setup but its easy math that cutting two large pieces of metal out and replacing with light weight composite extractors shaves some weight off.

Increase front end down-force - Part of the design of a functional heat extractor is to move the high pressure air out of the engine bay which pushes down on the extractor panels as the air evacuates creating down-force. Don’t get us wrong, this shouldn’t be what solves all of your aero dreams on your ride but it will get you one step closer.

Finish Options

  • Carbon Fiber - High Gloss - High-end custom woven 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber finished in a high-gloss automotive clear coat. If you are looking for the most eye-popping shiny carbon fiber, this is the option for you.

  • Carbon Fiber - Low Gloss - High-end custom woven 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber finished in a low-gloss (also referred to as satin or ‘dry carbon’) automotive clear coat. Understated and sophisticated. Use this option for interior pieces or as a contrast on exterior pieces where you want a subtle look.

  • Fiberglass - Gelcoat top finish - If you plan to paint your part, and don’t need carbon fiber, this is the option you want.

Installation Notes

  • Under-hood bar supports will need to be removed in order to install heat extractors.

  • Attachment hardware consists of bonded studs to the bottom side of the extractor panel.

  • To install you will need to measure, mark and cut two holes in your hood to allow the extractors to fit.

  • Extractors DO come with extractor holes cut but DO NOT come with mesh grill inserts for extractor holes.

Is this some crappy part made overseas which makes the profit margins really high?…. NOPE. USA made and that aint changing any time soon.
