67-69 Camaro Evolution Series Hood
67-69 Camaro Evolution Series Hood
The first modular designed hood to accommodate countless options.
One Hood Solution - Countless Options
Based on the original first-generation F-body hood, the Munssey Speed Evolution Series Hood is a fully digital, modular design created to give builders flexibility now and room to evolve later.
When you order your hood along with any of our center vents, side extractors, or both, the hood will be custom trimmed during manufacturing to fit those components as part of the build process. This creates a cleaner, more intentional end result and removes the guesswork from trying to adapt parts after the fact.
All vent components attach using bonded studs, allowing them to be securely mounted while still remaining removable. That means your hood can be updated over time with different fabrics, finishes, or future vent designs as they are released.
This is not a one-and-done hood. It is a platform.
Designed by a team of FIRST-GENERATION F-Body owners.
The people behind this hood are not outsiders guessing at what first-generation Camaro and Firebird owners want. Everyone involved in the development of this hood solution owns a first-generation F-body and understands both the shortcomings of factory hoods and the real potential these cars have when given a smarter solution.
That firsthand experience shaped every major decision in the design process, from the overall proportions to the modular vent system to the added engine clearance and improved adjustability.
What makes this hood unlike any other on the market?
This is the only hood in our lineup built around a modular vent architecture that allows builders to change the look and function of the hood over time. Center vents, side extractors, fabrics, finishes, and future design releases can all be swapped without replacing the entire hood.
The cowl was raised to a generous 2.5 inches, widened, and extended to the front header panel to give the car a lower, wider visual presence while also creating additional room under the hood for modern performance combinations.
Every dimension of the hood was digitally refined using 3D scans and CNC machining to create a part that is true from corner to corner. Unlike factory panels and many reproduction parts, this hood was developed with precision as the starting point, not an afterthought.
The underside was also completely reimagined to create a cleaner, more intentional structure that showcases the beauty of the composite materials used. When the hood is open, it looks like a finished performance component rather than an overlooked inner panel.
Additional adjustability was built into the hood hinge mounting pads, giving builders more range to fine-tune final hood position beyond what the factory hinge adjustment alone can provide.

Finish Options
Top Skin Options:
Non-Cosmetic Carbon Fiber - For builders who plan to paint the hood and do not intend any of the carbon fiber to be exposed.
2x2 Split-V Twill Weave - OEM Economy Clear - OEM orange peel finish with no more than 3 pinholes per sq ft. No imperfection greater than 3mm in the weave or clear coat. This is the best option for builders who plan to apply paint in some areas of the hood or plan to do additional clear coats on the truck.
Bottom Skin Options:
Standard plain weave carbon fiber with a satin look finish straight from the mold. No need for additional clear coat protection since the bottom of the hood is not exposed to constant UV sunlight.
Shipping charges will be provided separately from the hood purchase.

Installation Notes
Under no circumstances should stock hood hinge springs be used with this hood. If you are running factory hood hinges, remove the springs before installing the hood. If you are using aftermarket hinges, choose the lowest-resistance gas strut option available.
As with any hand-finished composite body panel, minor fitting, blocking, trimming, and adjustment may be required during installation. Older vehicles often vary from side to side due to factory production tolerances, age, prior repairs, or previous bodywork.
This hood was built to fit well, but it is still a hand-finished composite part intended for real builders. If you are expecting any body panel to drop into place without prep or adjustment, this is probably not the product for you.
